Aston Martin brought a epoch-making package of updates for the AMR26 model to Hungary, exceeding all expectations.
It was thought that the “B-spec” version might be tamer compared to the extreme car fielded by Adrian Newey at the start of the season; instead, it is even more sophisticated, even more extreme.
Not a single detail has remained the same, and the level of sophistication is truly at its peak. Every single thing has been carefully studied. Starting with the nose, which has become much narrower. The front wing is completely different.
The sidepods—the radiator position remained the same, but the sidepods are even more extreme, featuring a greater undercut at the bottom, while everything else is built like a second skin around the car. The rear suspension has been modified. The wishbone/arm connected to the structure from the rear wing pillar has been slightly raised and given an even more sophisticated aerodynamic shape.
Looking at this single-seater, you did well to come take a look: there isn’t a single detail that isn’t extreme or that doesn’t bring something new compared to all the other cars.
