After a fantastic debut, Mercedes Rookie Kimi Antonelli is going through a tough moment. In Spa, , he looked quiet emotional while talking with the media and confessed: “it’s a difficult moment, I need to find the light at the end of the tunnel”. But what is happening to this incredible talent? in the  F1 world that doesn’t make any discount, Kimi opened up in a long interview to the Italian Magazine Sette.

The F1 world  “In F1, it’s like swimming in a sea full of sharks—one moment you’re fine, and the next, you fall into a trap and get eaten.  I realized this at Imola. That’s when I understood how important it is to find time for myself,” he explained. “Moments when I’m alone in the motorhome, in a quiet place where I can mentally switch off and isolate myself.”

Private life  -Antonelli also reveals some aspects of his private life, starting with his girlfriend, Eliska Babickova, a karting driver. “She knows my world and understands how much time it takes. She gets the sacrifices. When she comes to the track to watch me, it’s a pleasure and a support,” he added. “She knows how to move around perfectly, and I don’t have to worry—she definitely doesn’t get bored. Living together? It’s still too early for that.”

Idols  If there is a driver who inspired Antonelli since he was a kid, this is was Ayrton Senna and Motogp legend Valentino Rossi, confessing:  “I wish I had his ability to surround himself with the right people and to recognize those who truly matter—the ones who help you perform your best on track by keeping you calm”.
Another reference is Jannik Sinner: “I’d like to meet him—what impresses me most is his mental strength during matches, especially when things aren’t going well. How many times has he turned difficult situations around?”).

The dream Despite being only 18, Antonelli shows he has a clear vision for his future goals. “I know the last Italian F1 champion was Ascari,” he said. “Will I be the next? That’s the goal. The first podium in Canada was amazing, but to be honest, I was also a bit disappointed. Because we had the car to win, and my teammate George Russell did. If I hadn’t made a small mistake in qualifying…”
