“Buon pomeriggio”. Lewis Hamilton greets the media in Italian on Thursday at Imola. This is a special weekend for him and Ferrari considered the warmth and the pressure to deliver from the 200,000 tifosi expected at the racetrack of the weekend.
“I don’t feel the extra pressure, but it is nice to see the passion of the tifosi. In Maranello like here. It’s a beautiful reminder of my youth, when I was karting in Italy. I used to eat a lot of pizza and pasta. I had an amazing times on those says. I traveled a lot, but I still want to know more, especially visiting iconic cities like Florence and Rome”.
Regarding the weekend, Lewis remains down to earth when asked about the expectations for the race: “We all want to win and do it now. I am not a patient person, but I need to ask our fans to be patient. The team is working hard. I go to Maranello every week. This is one of the busiest time of my career. We know that is this not were we expected to be”.
